Hugh Freeze Salary

Freeze's Six-Year, $65 Million Auburn Coaching Contract Details Unveiled

Auburn Tigers' New Head Coach Signs Lucrative Deal

Details of Auburn's Deal with Bryan Freeze

Bryan Freeze, recently appointed as Auburn University's head football coach, will earn a base salary of $65 million over the course of his six-year contract. The contract, which was obtained and released by the Opelika-Auburn News in June, outlines the financial details of Freeze's compensation.

Under the agreement, Freeze's average annual salary will increase to $5 million, up from his previous salary of $6.5 million per year. This salary increase positions Freeze as the highest-paid coach in the Group of Five conferences, surpassing Coastal Carolina's Jamey Chadwell and Louisiana's Billy Napier, both of whom earn $4 million annually.

The contract is fully guaranteed through the 2030 season, providing Freeze with financial security during his tenure at Auburn. The guaranteed salary is a departure from previous coaching contracts at Auburn, which often included buyout clauses and performance-based incentives.

Auburn's Athletic Director, John Cohen, expressed gratitude for Freeze's commitment to the university. Cohen highlighted Freeze's outstanding coaching record and his ability to lead a successful program.
