An Iranian bodybuilder known as the "Iranian Hulk" has announced that he plans to travel to Syria to fight the Islamic State. Sajad Gharibi, who has over 850,000 followers on Instagram, made the announcement on his social media account.
Gharibi's Rise to Fame
Gharibi rose to fame on Instagram where he posted pictures of his physique and feats of strength. In 2019, UFC star Brian Ortega challenged Gharibi to appear in the octagon. However, Gharibi declined the offer, saying that he needed to focus on his family.
Gharibi's Motivations for Fighting ISIS
In announcing his plans to fight ISIS, Gharibi said that he was motivated by his love for his country and his desire to protect the innocent from terrorism. He also said that he was not afraid to die fighting for what he believes in.
